Riverstead rates and policies:

Nightly Rates
Room rates begin at:
$425 (Tuesday-Saturday; includes 5-course dinner)
$520 (Tuesday-Saturday; includes 10-course dinner)
$300 (Sunday-Monday)

Our nightly room rates are for two guests, and include nightly accommodations with a simple gourmet breakfast prepared by our chefs. On Tuesday through Saturday nights, our room rate includes choice of a five or ten course dinner at Town House (exclusive of tax and gratuity). Rates are subject to change.

Arrival and Departure
Guests are asked to check in at Town House, 132 E. Main Street, Chilhowie, VA; check-in is between 3:00 and 6:00 P.M., or by special arrangement for a late arrival. Departure is at 11 A.M. Early check-in and late check-out are both subject to approval and availability.

Deposits
An advance deposit is required to confirm your reservation. The deposit amount is $300 per room, per night. On the date of your arrival, the remaining balance of the reservation will be due. The credit card on file will be used unless you make other arrangements for payment.

Cancellations
Riverstead is a small and intimate inn with only two guest rooms. Because of this, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation allows us a limited opportunity to re-sell the guestrooms. If your reservation is cancelled at least sixteen days prior to arrival, your deposit will be refunded minus a $25.00 non-refundable cancellation fee. For cancellations within 16 days of arrival, no refund is possible regardless of the reason, unless we are able to re-book the room. However, you are always welcome to send a friend or family member in your place.

Children
We welcome children of all ages, but to best accommodate them, we require that you book both of the rooms at Riverstead. At Town House, special children ’s menus are available with advance notice.

Pets
As much as we love them, pets are not welcome at Riverstead. Nevertheless we would be pleased to assist with arrangements at a local kennel.

Extra Guests
To ensure an environment of quiet and tranquility, we ask that no extra guests use the facility during your stay.

Non-smoking Establishment
Riverstead is a smoke free environment. We do not permit smoking anywhere in the house, including the front and back porches. Smoking is permitted on the grassy areas of the property beyond the porches.
