January 15, 2009 | Award-winning Local Cheese at the Town House Table Join us to celebrate sustainable farming as we welcome Helen and Rick Feete of Meadow Creek Dairy. Chefs John B. December 31, 2008 | Bring in the New Year with "Bubbles and Sparkles" at Town House! This year's celebration will feature a five course menu at 6:00 p.m. for $70, and an eight course menu at 9:00 p.m. for $110. Both menus include "snacks" and a champagne toast; wine pairings will also be available. To complete this memorable epicurean evening, we are also offering transportation packages. December 9, 2008 | Local Lamb at the Town House Table In December, the Town House Table will feature local lamb from Martha and Tom Mewbourne's Thorntree Farm. The evening begins at 6:30 with a presentation from the Mewbournes, followed by dinner. Seating is limited; please call 276-646-8787 to reserve your spot now!

December 7, 2008 | "Sparkling Wines & Exquisite Dines" at McCrady's Chefs John B. Shields and Karen Urie will join Chef Sean Brock in preparing a special holiday dinner at McCrady's restaurant in Charleston, SC. Town House Sommelier Charlie Berg will join McCrady's Sommelier Clint Sloan in pairing a variety of exclusive sparkling wines for each course. For reservations, call 843-577-0025.

November 2008 | Town House Table continues with "Autumn in Appalachia" on November 13 featuring Bourbon Red Heritage Turkey and Thanksgiving wines along with a special presentation from Richard Moyer, a local farmer, supplier, and advocate of free-range and grass-fed meats.

October 2008 | Town House begins monthly dinner series, Town House Table, offering community members a forum to fund and support local farming and produce. Each month, Chefs Karen Urie and John B. Shields will prepare a special dinner highlighting a current seasonal ingredient in an effort to support Appalachian Sustainable Development (ASD), a not-for-profit organization furthering the cause of "building a strong local food system based on organic and sustainable farming."

September 2008 | Chef Karen Urie participates in Biltmore's Field to Table Festival: A Taste of Appalachia in Asheville, NC Karen will participate in a panel discussion entitled "Thank God for the Farmer's Market!" on Friday, September 26th along with Donna Florio of Southern Living, chefs Brian Stapleton, John Stehling, Robert Stehling, and Biltmore Food & Beverage Director Brian Ross. July 2008 | Certified Sommelier joins the Town House staff We are pleased to introduce Charlie Berg, a Certified Sommelier with the London-based Court of Master Sommeliers. His carefully chosen wine pairings are available to complement our tasting menus nightly.
