Taste of the South weekend at Blackberry Farm

Town House chefs John B. Shields and Karen Urie Shields will join the Southern Foodways Alliance at Blackberry Farm for the annual Taste of the South event benefiting the Fellowship of Southern Farmers, Artisans, and Chefs. The Town House chefs will join Chef Joe Truex of Repast in Atlanta, Chef Edward Lee of 610 Magnolia in Louisville, and Chef Ashley Christensen of Poole's Diner in Raleign in preparing the weekend's Gala Dinner.

Town House Table: Honoring the Bee

Town House welcomes Jim Lyttle of Castlewood, Virginia's Lyttle Farm as we dedicate our June event to spreading Honey Bee Awareness. The reception begins at 6:30 PM with guest speaker Jim Lyttle and Chef Karen Urie both speaking on the plight of the honey bee on both local and national levels. The reception is followed by a four course dinner, which will highlight several varities of honey produced at Lyttle Farm. Town House welcomes Abingdon Farmers Market Outreach Coordinator Lucee Kossler, who will join the chefs for a unique spring vegetable tasting dinner.
